When someone goes into sudden cardiac arrest, it’s imperative to act fast. If immediate CPR is given and an automated external defibrillator (AED) is used, the survival rate increases from 5% to 24%. In fact, early defibrillation, along with CPR, is the only way to restore the victim’s heart rhythm to normal in a lot of cardiac arrest cases. Tragically, data shows that only 2% of the time, an AED is on hand during a cardiac arrest.  Think of all the lives that could be saved if more AEDs were made available!

At ADKHW, we are a licensed distributor for Zoll, the only AED unit that will actually see when someone is performing CPR and help every step of the way, to ensure it's being given correctly.

In New York State, AEDs are required by law in the following facilities:

If you have an AED in your office, its New York State law for at least one person to become CPR/AED certified (ADKHW can help you with that!). The training course must be completed and taught by an accredited intuition, like the American Heart Association, who ADKHW is affiliated with.

ADKHW can provide the required medical director oversight for your AED that consists of a monitoring program, to ensure that your device is always up to code. Our medical oversight is important because it guarantees that your AED is always ready to be used in case of an emergency!

A sudden cardiac arrest is one of the leading causes of death in the U.S., with over 350,000 victims each year, and about 88% of those them occur out of the hospital. If more people knew how to administer CPR and were trained in using AEDs, more people would be able to survive a cardiac arrest.
